I took little man to the eye doctor today.
He's been saying he can't see the smartboard at school.
I haven't a clue what a smartboard is?
What happened to chalk?
Were chalkboards deemed dumb?
I digress.
He was right. He can't see the smart or dumb board.
He looks like his dad. Talks like his dad. Laughs like his dad.
He sees like his mom.
He picked some "kick-butt" glasses (those are his words).
The ones that cost more than any other pair in stock.
He looks like his dad. Talks like his dad. Laughs like his dad.
He spends money like his mom.
I digress...again.
He's handsome and looks perfectly adorable
in the glasses he chose....all by himself.
The eye doc was sweet and told Trey he only needed to wear his glasses during class or when he's watching a movie or tv.
He said, "you'll be able to see what the teacher writes on the chalkboard."
I laughed. Frankie sighed and gave him his million dollar grin.
I AM CRACKING UP because I just went through this a couple of weeks ago with my daughter!! She couldn't see the smart black white chalk whatever board either! AND...she picked THE MOST EXPENSIVE frames they had...and I went ahead and bought them because I mean...they are on HER FACE, and they should look good....and they do. SO adorable.
ReplyDeleteI happen to teach a 3rd grade religion class on Wednesday afternoon...and I use the classroom of the Parish school....and I am SO SCARED of writing on the SMART board, confusing it with the WHITE board...so I NEVER write on ANY BOARD and the kids always ask why!!! Just give me the black board back, please!!!
Miss Laura...I am lost without you! Invite please!
DeleteHi Miss Laura,
DeleteMay I please be invited to your blog? OH PLEASE! Your writing is so beautiful and inspiring. I understand why you'd want to restrict it but I promise I won't do anything crazy and I only post kind comments! Gotta have my fill, friend. :) Just gotta.
Truth be told (and I know because I'm a teacher AND I wear glasses) those things are just plain hard to read...
